Genevieve Thiers

Genevieve Thiers

Actress. Singer. Playwright. Speaker.

Genevieve Thiers is a Chicago-based singer, actress, and playwright—an electric crossover artist at home in opera, musical theater, and the camera’s close-up. She’s also a dynamic speaker.

She’s brought principal roles to stages including Lyric Opera of Chicago (Praskovia in The Merry Widow), Goodman Theatre (Dinah in Trouble in Tahiti), and Porchlight Music Theatre (Little Me, Follies), with additional work across Chicago’s world-renowned theatre scene.

A Northwestern University Bienen School of Music alum with a master’s in musical performance, Genevieve pairs classical technique with fearless storytelling—whether she’s singing live, inhabiting a character, or stepping on set.

If you’re looking for the founder of Sittercity.com, yes, that’s her, too.
